t-8 days...

How far along: I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow

Total weight gain: Yeah so last week I about had a heart attack on the scale when I realized I had gained so much in one week. This week, I actually lost 0.7 lbs. How that is possible, I have no idea. Does it matter? Not so much. I was just shocked to see the number decrease before the baby came out. I actually remember giving birth to Grayson and not losing much at all on the day I was discharged. I guess now that I think about it, it makes perfect sense, they pump you full of so much fluid that you are a balloon when you leave. It takes some time to pee all of that out.

Baby's weight: Yesterday I asked Dr McAvoy "So how much do you think this baby weighs?" It was sort of a trick question, poor guy. As in, how much baby will I be pushing out in the next week or so. I've been fully prepared all along to have a newborn bigger than Grayson because all of the OB's keep saying this one's bigger. This was his answer "Oh a good high 8's low 9's", I pretty much about fell off of the table!

Baby's Heart rate: 120's

Sleep: Yeah I'm beginning to think I'll sleep better once baby gets here. At least more soundly during the times I am sleeping. Right now, I'm tossing and turning and just can't get comfortable. My cold is gone though so that's a plus.

Best moment of the week: My friend Laura convinced me to go get in the tub and take a bath. Not only did I take a bath, I lit 3 candles and played my labor and delivery playlist (yep I have one) while I soaked in a tub until I woke up! I never take baths, in fact, I don't like them at all. Ryan even pointed out that in 8 years, he's seen me take 2 baths or less. I was SO relaxed that I woke up to myself snoring! Getting out of the tub, woah, that was a process!

Gender: For the first time my entire pregnancy, I've finally started to feel like it could be a girl. I'm swelling like a balloon, I'm more uncomfortable than ever, you name it- it hurts... anyhow I made it to this point with Grayson and never felt like this or had the swelling. I never made it to this point with Bella so maybe just maybe a girl is in there...

Names: unchanged from last week

Movement: Baby mostly lays on my left side and kicks on my right side.

Food cravings: I've started to be over food, who knew that was possible! I'm drinking red raspberry leaf tea because my doctor said sometimes that's been known to help things along. He actually encouraged it.

Labor signs: I've had Braxton Hicks for ages now. They are starting to feel a bit stronger once in awhile. Last night I felt like I had period kind of cramps but of course, those went away too.

Dilation: 1.5 cm but my cervix is still thick and closed. I even had the doctor strip my membranes yesterday to try to move the process along.

Belly button: Flat and stretched to the gills!

What I miss: walking comfortably, Ryan says I've perfected the waddle!

What I'm looking forward to: Meeting this baby and having my family of 5!

~This mama is super pregnant and ready to pop!

Ooooh...you are so close! So glad you took a bath and were able to relax (sleep!). Now you just need to have a small glass of wine!
